The boys at Basketball Republic thought it was time to give some love to the Libertria Basketball.

We've been playing with this ball for a while now and realised that we've been so busy ballin' we haven't had a chance to sit down and truly give kudos to the ball for the game changer it is. 

Released by Molten in May 2013, the Libertria was created as the official outdoor ball for the FIBA Asia 3x3 basketball tournament.  

The name Libertria is a combination of the Latin words 'liberta' meaning freedom and 'tria' that stands for three.  The combination of these two words as well as the cool tattoo graphics embodies the spirit and soul of street ball. 

The Libertria, or Lib as we affectionately call it, has changed what we expect from an indoor/outdoor ball. The Lib has a 12-panel design made of wear-resistant synthetic leather and features a pebbled glossy surface.  It's extremely grippy and looks great even after 1 month of hard outdoor use. The Lib also comes in a black and silver, great for the spurs fans out there wanting to continue to celebrate their championship.
