Which MEDSPEC ASO ankle brace should I get? Difference between the ASO EVO and ASO Classic

There are three main variations of the Medspec ASO ankle brace that we would recommend and the one that would most suit you will really depend on what level of protection you were after.

  • ASO EVO Quatro: This is a variation of the EVO range of braces that incorporates the innovative new technology of ASO's strapping and cuff system but with the unique design of a low profile so it won't feel as restrictive and bulky in the shoe and socks. We recommend this for those who want a compromise between protection and agility/movement. In other words for the guards!
  • ASO EVO: This can be seen as the new age range for the ASO lineup with its evolutionary 'Stirrup' strap and 'Dynamic Cuff', which is a trademark of the ASO ankle braces. This basically means the brace will strap itself to your ankles more effectively to help prevent injuries. It is a full profile brace that rides higher than the Quatro brace and offering a higher level of protection.
  • ASO Classic/Original: This is the classic ASO ankle brace that has the side plastic inserts to offer high levels of protection. This will feel bulky as it restricts your ankle from rolling or twisting. This would be the ideal choice for those who need that protection post injury or is in the rehab stage. We find most of our 'bigs' would use this brace as they are most often found in the key grabbing boards and potentially landing on other players feet.

Which ever brace you choose know that you are in good hands with the Medspec ASO range as they are known for producing high quality orthopedic braces that are all manufactured in the USA.
